Winter Training

MN Foot Tech has three specialized winter training programs, designed for younger & older players, as well as all levels.

All Foot Tech EDT Winter Programs include a performance strength & fitness component.

Finishing I

The Finishing I training program is about scoring goals, and learning the attacking skills necessary to give your team the edge. We encourage shooting at every opportunity so the player understands it's okay to miss. The key is to keep shooting, allowing the player to learn from mistakes by giving positive feedback and instilling confidence in ability. We teach players that shooting is good!

Killer instinct, responsibility, technical, commitment - these are all words used to describe a goal scorer. And they are attributes of the most desired player in soccer, someone that can score goals consistently. At MN Foot Tech you will learn what these words mean and how to apply them to your game.

Finishing II

Continuing from the Finishing I training program, Finishing II focuses on finishing of all types - power and placement shooting, headers, volleys, toe pokes, combination play to create space, penalty kicks, corner kicks, bicycle kicks and more! If you can imagine it, we will cover it.  Our desire is to create a complete goal scorer so they are prepared for every situation. We focus on technical preparation first, and then apply it to a tactical situation, creating a functional training environment that recreates the pressure of the game. Placing the player in small groups forces the player to get involved and take responsibility in finishing. We do not let players hide and just watch the game. We teach them to be composed on the ball in tight situations so they do not panic. Scoring goals is the final element to a game with many elements. Chances are rare, and it is the player that can take those precious chances and put the ball in the net that can make a difference in a game. No matter what has happened during a game it all comes down to who scores the most.
A training session at MN Foot Tech Finishing I or II will be a time of realization and success. Every player can score hundreds of goals. Every player gains a new sense of what is possible. Every player begins to learn what it takes to become soccer's most precious commodity - a goal scorer!

MN Foot Tech ... where finishing IS the goal!

Position Specific

The Position Specific Training Program teaches the technical and tactical elements a player needs to play defense, midfield and forward. This will test their ability in an atmosphere set to challenge each player to raise their game to new heights. As players get older and play for different coaches, clubs, high schools, ODP or even the National Team, players might not always play in the same position they have played their whole life. Being an all around soccer player who can play at different positions and deal with different situations (decision making) is a formula for success.

Each session will cover the technical components that a defender, midfielder, and forward needs offensively and defensively, to be able to master his/her position on the pitch, and as a result of that, will grow as a player. We will focus and spend quality time on a position for two weeks so everyone understands his or her duties offensively and defensively. We will cover all the positions on the field except goalkeeper.

The group environment is dynamic in nature, with instant gratification as new goals are attained at every session. Each session, players test their skills in live play against goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders and forwards. The competition between the attackers and defenders represents the game's finest moments and a unique component of the MN Foot Tech Positional Training Program.
